To accurately determine the 5 daily prayer times (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha), sunrise, sunset, Sehri, and the exact great-circle bearing to the Holy Kaaba in Makkah, NoorSalat requires geographical coordinates (latitude and longitude).

This sensor data is processed exclusively in real time to rotate the compass needle and is never recorded or transmitted.
The app uses the device vibrator (android.permission.VIBRATE) to provide gentle haptic confirmation when your phone aligns with the Kaaba within ±3 degrees.
To support ongoing maintenance, updates, and free availability, NoorSalat integrates the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). AdMob may collect and process pseudonymous identifiers and diagnostic data according to Google's standard privacy practices:

NoorSalat is suitable for general audiences of all ages, including families and children learning to pray. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. All core Islamic features are accessible without any registration.
Because NoorSalat operates completely on-device without remote user accounts or backend databases, your data is inherently protected by your device's local Android sandbox security architecture.
